I've been curious about visualisation for years and use it in my personal life and professional practice as a trauma specialist. Visualization of different types is central to many evidence-based trauma treatments and is a big part of the healing process in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Schema Therapy and EMDR, to name just a few. But what is the science behind it? Does it really work? If it does, how does it work?In this podcast, Joanna Grover, LCSW & Jon Rhodes, PhD (https://lnkd.in/g4bDQaxa), talk about Functional Imagery Training, FIT, and how it can improve our decision-making and communication skills, lessen stress, increase sleep, and create a deeper sense of purpose and belonging. Jo and Jon have used FIT to train Olympic athletes, special military forces, and top CEOs around the globe.Check it out here, and let us know if you have any thoughts or questions.https://lnkd.in/gcn7Yfbw

I had a deep conversation with Chester and Adrian about family patterns and how they appear in workplace dynamics. You might get the peacekeeper, the one who never grows up, the leader, etc and how some of these 'roles' can be incredibly triggering and what to do about it.
