June 26 – River without a Cause: Conversation with Author Sam Moses, 7 p.m., located at Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River. Admission is free, with donations accepted.

June 27 – “Wildfire” exhibition reception at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, 5:30 – 7:30, The public is invited to a free reception with artist Ann Ruttan. The exhibit runs from June 20 – Aug. 18. Located at 5000 Discovery Drive in The Dalles.

June 27 – 29 – Unit 20 Yard Sale Scholarship Fundraiser, 9 – 3 p.m., Located at 728 East Scenic Drive, The Dalles. The last day will be $1 per bag. All proceeds go toward the scholarship fund. Inquiries may be directed to Unit 20 President Julie Carter at 541-705-0047.

June 27 – Gardening 101: Tomato Care, 6 p.m., learn how to maintain healthy tomato plants. Free event. Located at Trout Lake Hall, 15 Guler Rd, Trout Lake.

June 29 – Nch’i-Wána Wa’paas Basketweaving Learning Workshop, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Located at 35 Maryhill Museum Drive in Goldendale. Free admission, all ages and all levels welcome. August 14-18 – Wasco County Historical Society exhibit in the Open Class Building at the Wasco County Fair, located at 81849 Fairgrounds Road in Typh Valley.

October 26 –Wasco County Historical Society annual meeting. Located at The Dalles Country Club in the historic 1922 Clubhouse. Lunch and short business meeting. Details to follow.

Thru July 31 – Miss Molly’s Voice: Freedom and Family Spoken In Fabric exhibition, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. private opening for members of the Columbia Gorge Museum. The public is invited to new the museum between June 2nd at 6 p.m. and July 31st at 5 p.m. columbiagorgemuseum.org.

Staff will direct callers to available resources, assist with online benefit applications and issues with Social Security and Medicare. Seniors can also call for essential grocery delivery, prescription pickup or food bank needs.
