Niam - least favorite from your list. I think he would get “Liam?” “No, NEE-um” all the time

Beren - Is this pronounced like Baron? If so, I would just spell it that way. Not my favorite, but only because it’s Trumps son’s name.

Tam - doesn’t seem like a complete name to me.

Witten - Love this! Considered it for my own son!

Faron - Don’t dislike, don’t love.

Rollins - Cute! I could see this on a little boy all the way up to an adult.

Beren is actually from the Tolkien/Lord of the Rings universe, the hero from Beren and Luthien. Faron is from the LOTR universe as well. Tam is from the Wheel of Time books. Our other kids have fantasy/lit names so we’re looking to stick with the theme!

Niam- not my fave, reminds me of the irish girl’s name Niamh which is pronounced neeve

Beren- I love the way it looks, but agree that it would be pronounced like Baron. So you’d get some people spelling it that way. Neutral about it

Tam- I like Tam! It’s kind of fantasy Tom, but anyone who doesn’t know WoT would still be able to spell and pronounce it.

Witten- not my fave, somehow seems the most made up to me? But also reminds me of germany, there are several towns with that in the name.

Faron- faron woods from zelda was my first instinct, but that’s named after a female goddess in the game. So it sounds girly to me.

Rollins- neutral but not my fave.

Don’t know if you are looking for suggestions, but knowing your inspiration I would suggest: Caspian, Beorn, Perrin, Ori, Bran, Kael.

What are your other kiddos’ names? I feel like their vibe could help

Beren is indeed pronounced like Baron. We like that spelling because it is a particularly epic character in the Tolkien universe (from the book Beren and Luthien). I do love Zelda, Faron is also from the LOTR saga (male), but was also pretty popular in the 50s and is best known from a male country singer Faron Young. Witten is actually the most common in use right now of all of them!

I misread Witten is Written at first, but it’s not a bad name.

Faron reads feminine to me for some reason, but probably as I’m unfamiliar with the name. I’d assume girl though just seeing it written.

Niam looks like a combo of Niall and Liam. Is it pronounced “Ny-um” or “Knee-um”?

Beren just looks like a misspelled variation of Baron.
