Beautiful well-kept Park that's peaceful and easy to get around. Flat hiking areas call my son along the river. Cabins are updated and very nice. Campground is well-kept under big beautiful Live Oak Tree canopy. Office staff is helpful.

Oh my….this park is spectacular with all the Spanish moss draped over old oak trees, tall pines, cypress trees and a vibrant foliage. Cottages are modern, charming and well maintained. Campground is sizable, bathhouse, bathrooms are very clean. The lake is beautiful and lots of boat parking available. Plenty to do and see … 🕊 watching 🛶, fishing, 🚤🥾 🚴🚶🏾‍♀️🚣‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️🎣🐠🏕🛺🛴🚲🛵🌞Really enjoyed the trails and there are several. Will definitely add Crooked River to my circle back a few times a year list. Wonderful place to getaway and recharge. Friendly folks and great staff. Y’all need to go visit. ❤️

This was a very beautiful park. The sights were amazing by the river. You can sit on the back porch and watch deer, Tortoises and other wild life. Good hiking trails for hikers. Staff was very friendly to us. Over all it was a great experience here.. will be back.

Been here many times for events. Fabulous shelter areas for hosting weddings, reunions or any type of banquets. Very reasonably priced!!! Beautiful scenery with cabins located close by for rent. Hosted my daughters wedding here and got cabins for the entire family to spend a beautiful weekend. Playground and closed in picnic areas. Lots of trails and bird watching areas to explore. Boat ramp with bait store located on premises. Staff and Rangers are absolutely wonderful!!! Putt putt cause, exercise course and fitness trails. Love this place!!

Needed a place to stay in between campgrounds and saw the sign for this park on I-95 and on a whim came here and literally got the last spot for the night. Sure wish I had known about this park months ago, I would have made reservations and stayed at least a week, what a beautiful place! And the campsites are so ample and spaced very nicely apart. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I could have done without the big bright light right across from me, I hate light pollution, I want to be able to see the stars at night, and here they were spectacular!

This is a nice Georgia State Park. It has several easy walking trails for all ages and the sites are spaced great and are well maintained. There is a playground, putt putt, and other activities to do here as well. The view of the river is amazing. You are close to everything St. Mary's has to offer.

We stopped in for a few hours to check it out, and it was very nice. First off, They have a Great Staff! The restrooms worked, and we're clean. Campsites for the rvs are nice and big. They have mini golf, and boat launch. All and all a great find on our trip. Thank you for the experience. ***(Watch for ticks)***

We’ve been twice. The first time, we rented cabins. They were nice and clean with screened porches. We were able to bring our dog with us. That was about 10 years ago. This past spring, we brought our camper. The sites were very spacious. The bathrooms were clean. Great birding and loads of gopher tortoises.

We absolutely love this park. My favorite spot is 45. Tucked away in a private and quite spot.Clean with adventurous trails. Central to other favorite locations like Cumberland Island, Fernandina, Jekyll Island, St.Simon's Island and more. We celebrated our 37th, under blue skies, sunshine, and fresh air! We highly recommend it!

Amazing PET friendly park. Your dogs will love it. We stayed at one of the cottages which are also pet friendly. Hikes were easy and relaxing. A lot to ponder when one is so relaxed.Hostess and park officials were very helpful, polite and kind. We needed an alan key to set up our pets bed and one personnel came in at 9:30 PM to help 5 requested.

This park is always so peaceful and quiet. I love that even on the weekends you have the trail to yourself more or less. There are TONS of armadillos around (more than I usually see on a trail). Always fun to watch them root around.Looping trails together, you can go from hiking a boardwalk trail down near the water, to pines and palmetto, so it's not all the same scenery.I've also never seen a state park with a mini golf course, so that was neat!Haven't camped here yet or used the boat ramp, but there's always another time!I definitely recommend taking a few hours to visit and explore this neat little park!

This really is such a gem of a park. There are some beautiful trails, recently renovated play areas (little kid area has a shade), mini putt putt (you can rent clubs and balls at the office), bait and tackle store, cabin rentals, camping area (has a dumping area), a story walk, and the nature center! The park hosts kid friendly events often at the nature center. An annual pass is worth it!

Went on a retreat with a group here. Had a very enjoyable time. The facilities were clean and functional. The views of the water were enjoyable and it helped that the weather was very nice (November). We rented a pavilion and cottages for the group. Both the facilities were sufficient for our needs, and enabled us to cook on site to provide for the group. Many from our group went fishing, some played putt-putt, while others road bikes. Overall a great time was had and would recommend these facilities for use and enjoyment!

Park is beautiful, everyone so helpful and friendly. Don't miss the Nature Center, small but a lady volunteer was so informative and knowledgeable about the animals in the area. Lots of places to roam around. Very clean and had nice putt putt and playgrounds. Went there to fish but unfortunately only 2 places we could find (far scary trail to rocky beach, or the Pier/Boat Ramp) both were crowded and nothing was biting for anyone. Get there early to fish! Very nice man at Bait Shop which has a small selection but pricey, hit Walmart first! Onto the Cottage we rented. Left a lot to be desired as it was dirty (took down 3 large cobwebs, more bugs in kitchen light than outdoor light, ripped sofa, dusty, needs paint and a lot of ceiling work), I was awoken at 5:30am to a RAT parade going through the wall a foot from my head and through the bathroom walls!! Needless to say we left at 8:00am and received a full refund. Vacation ruined! Obscene they are charging $175 a night for dilapidated cabins. Should be $60 a night. Stay at a Hotel and go here for the day or camp. Never again for us!

Our stay at Crooked River over the Christmas holiday was so great. The sites are large and well kept. The facilities are clean. We used the laundry a few times (1.25 to was $1.25 to dry) lots of walking trails and only 10 miles to restaurants and shopping.

We enjoyed exploring this state park. We walked a couple of the trails with our dogs. They are well marked and identifiable. Remember your bug spray and prepare appropriately for the potential ticks. We found a few tiny ones on ourselves before they had a chance to attach, thankfully. Overall it was a nice place and we will hopefully get to try out the camping there soon!

Beautiful spacious campground with large campsites right off the Crooked River! Lots of trails to venture through - camp store - bait shop with all you need for your fishing adventure and friendly camp hosts!

A very well-maintained state park at the southernmost tip of Georgia. The welcome center is pretty decent in size and has a couple of items. I have not seen it other state parks, including cookbooks. Their stickers are fantastic. There are several walking trails here. None of them are without mosquitoes. Be sure you wear your repellent if you walk here at any time other than probably January or February. They rent bicycles and tandem bicycles in for our sections. There is also a Park putt course we did not get to play on this course, but rentals are done inside the welcome center.Cabins are very straightforward in block formation however, the views for the first set of four cabins are less than to be desired since they look on giant screened in buildings in their backyards. After you pass those towards the birdwatching trail, the other cabins have a much better desirable view.

Great state park with large clean lots. It is on the river so there is fishing, they have a miniature golf area, large playground area for the kids. Some sights have sewer but not all. The bathhouses have individual restrooms with shower in them, that are clean and air conditioned. They have cabins available for rent which looked nice on the outside with a covered, screened in back porch. Overall this is a gem of a state park that I would highly recommend.
