DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. This role involves developing and implementing revenue-generating accounting processes and procedures, overseeing the auditing process, and preparing financial statements and reports. As the Sr. Staff Accountant, you will develop and implement revenue generating accounting processes and procedures, oversee the auditing process, perform account reconciliations, and prepare financial statements and reports. The ideal candidate should have the ability to prepare various types of tax returns and carry out other accounting duties as required.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post recurring journal entries
Coordinate accounting functions and programs
Assist with month-end close process
Prepare general ledger transactions
Coordinate with internal and external auditors
Prepare financial reports and statements
Monitor internal controls
Perform ad hoc reporting
This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks, CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Compliance, CCH Prosystem, and excellent communication skills. Additionally, experience in audit activities and preparing tax returns is necessary for success in this role. CPA certification is preferred.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position.
Proficient in using QuickBooks for accounting and financial tasks.
Familiarity with CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Compliance and CCH Prosystem is highly desirable.
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
Experience in preparing tax returns with accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Prior experience in performing audits and managing audit activities is required.
Must adhere to professional standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
