As this is going to be a small sensory bag, you’ll need around 50-70ml small ziploc bag. You can, of course, double the recipe and make it larger!
Now for the sensory bag filler part find a multicolored pom poms, so that the experience is much more fun and entertaining! This was the exact pom pom bag I ordered on Amazon.
The clear tape is going to be additional only if the sensory bag is made for babies, otherwise you can just zip the bag as it is for toddlers or preschoolers.
How To Make DIY Pom Pom Sensory Play Bag
1. Fill your ziploc bag with pom poms.
2. Add in clear glue. Don’t overdue it.
3. Squeeze the air out of the bag an zip it with a tape or scotch.
Instructions :
Step 1 : Fill ziploc bag with pom poms, avoid overdoing it.
It’s important to leave the space in your sensory bag so that there’s enough space to squish the pom poms around.
Step 2 : Add in clear glue, and again avoid overdoing it. Leave some space for it to be squishy.
Step 3 : Squeeze the air out of the bag, zip it itself or close it with a tape.
Close the bag with a scotch or tape so the bag doesn’t accidentally open while your kid is playing with it. You can also choose some colorful tapes to go with.
And you’re done making pom pom sensory bag! Hand it to your little one and let them enjoy!

Now, let's discuss the concepts used in this article.
Sensory Bags:
A sensory bag is a DIY activity that provides sensory stimulation for children, including toddlers, babies, and preschoolers. It typically involves filling a bag with various materials that offer different textures, colors, and sensory experiences. Sensory bags can be used as a tool for sensory play, which helps children explore and develop their senses.
Pom-Poms:
Pom-poms are small, soft, and fluffy balls made of yarn or other materials. They are commonly used in crafts and DIY projects, including sensory bags. Pom-poms come in various sizes and colors, making them visually appealing and tactilely stimulating for children. They can be easily manipulated and squeezed, providing a satisfying sensory experience.
Clear Glue:
Clear glue is a type of adhesive that dries transparent, allowing for a clear and see-through effect. In the context of the sensory bag DIY mentioned in the article, clear glue is used as a filler material to create a squishy texture and hold the pom-poms in place within the bag. It adds a visual element to the sensory experience, as the pom-poms are suspended in the clear glue.
Ziploc Bag:
A Ziploc bag, also known as a resealable plastic bag, is a type of bag with a zippered closure. It is commonly used for storing and organizing various items. In the context of the sensory bag DIY, a small Ziploc bag is used as the container for the pom-poms and clear glue. It provides a sealed and secure environment for the sensory materials, allowing children to manipulate and explore them without making a mess.
Tape:
Tape, such as clear tape or Scotch tape, is mentioned in the article as an optional addition to the sensory bag DIY. It is used to secure the Ziploc bag and prevent accidental opening, especially if the sensory bag is intended for babies. For toddlers or preschoolers, the tape can be skipped, as the zippered closure of the bag is usually sufficient to keep the contents contained.
